At Ushua\u00efa Villages Camping Le Parc de la Gr\u00e8ve<\/strong>, near Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, sustainable development<\/strong> is not just a buzzword \u2013 it is part of our everyday life. As a Green Key <\/strong>certified campsite, we are committed to protecting nature and invite you to take part in our eco-friendly actions during your stay with us. <\/p>

Sort you waste. Easy and efficient<\/h2>

Since 2017, the Vend\u00e9e has been home to an ultra-modern sorting centre<\/strong> capable of processing 99.9% of our packaging waste. Your active participation helps to significantly reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. <\/p>

How recycling works at Camping Le Parc de la Gr\u00e8ve<\/strong><\/p>

  • On arrival, you will be given a \u201cTribag<\/strong>\u201d, a practical bag to help you sort your waste easily.\n<\/li>
  • A small recycling and sorting area is located at the entrance to the car park:\n
    • Green container<\/strong>: glass bottles and jars\n<\/li>
    • Yellow container<\/strong>: all types of packaging \u2013 plastic, yoghurt pots, trays, and small cardboard boxes\n<\/li>
    • Brown container:<\/strong> Food waste (raw and cooked)\n<\/li>
    • Wooden shelf:<\/strong> oversized cardboard that doesn\u2019t fit in the yellow container (pizza boxes, large cartons, etc.)\n<\/li>
    • Black containers: general waste:<\/strong> food scraps and non-recyclable items\n<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

      Batteries, light bulbs, and used cooking oils<\/strong> can also be dropped off at the reception.<\/p>

      Our aim<\/strong> is simple: better sorting today for a healthier planet tomorrow. Our team is on hand to guide you and answer any questions. <\/p>

      Eco-friendly Maintenance and Cleaning<\/h2>

      Parc Maitenance<\/p>

      • No chemical pesticides <\/strong>are used on our site.\n<\/li>
      • We control weeds using mechanical methods or heat, without chemicals.\n<\/li>
      • We mainly use electric tools<\/strong> for mowing and pruning, which helps to minimise noise and pollution.\n<\/li>
      • We shred green waste and use it as mulch, helping to save water and naturally enrich the soil.\n<\/li><\/ul>

        Toilets, Showers and Shared Areas<\/p>

        • All products used are Ecocert-certified<\/strong>, helping to reduce any impact on health.\n<\/li>
        • For example, we use green clay to clean the dishwashing sinks.\n<\/li><\/ul>

          Managing Water and Energy Efficiently<\/h2>
          • Water<\/strong>: we encourage responsible use on your pitch. Plant watering is restricted, and mulching helps save water. \n<\/li>
          • Swimming pool:<\/strong> our pool is heated using a heat pump<\/strong>, which helps lower energy use.\n<\/li>
          • Electricity<\/strong>: we use LED lighting and motion sensors to reduce energy wastage.\n<\/li>
          • Hot water system<\/strong>: insulated to minimise energy waste.\n<\/li><\/ul>

            Eco-Friendly Transport<\/h2>

            Within the campsite, all travel is on foot<\/strong>, bike, or electric cart<\/strong>. Guests are also encouraged to take bicycles for trips to the beach or the lake. <\/p>

            For tomorrow<\/h2>

            We are always looking for new initiatives to further reduce our environmental impact:<\/p>
