Sort you waste. Easy and efficient
Since 2017, the Vendée has been home to an ultra-modern sorting centre capable of processing 99.9% of our packaging waste. Your active participation helps to significantly reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
How recycling works at Camping Le Parc de la Grève
- On arrival, you will be given a “Tribag”, a practical bag to help you sort your waste easily.
- A small recycling and sorting area is located at the entrance to the car park:
- Green container: glass bottles and jars
- Yellow container: all types of packaging – plastic, yoghurt pots, trays, and small cardboard boxes
- Brown container: Food waste (raw and cooked)
- Wooden shelf: oversized cardboard that doesn’t fit in the yellow container (pizza boxes, large cartons, etc.)
- Black containers: general waste: food scraps and non-recyclable items
Batteries, light bulbs, and used cooking oils can also be dropped off at the reception.
Our aim is simple: better sorting today for a healthier planet tomorrow. Our team is on hand to guide you and answer any questions.
Eco-friendly Maintenance and Cleaning
Parc Maitenance
- No chemical pesticides are used on our site.
- We control weeds using mechanical methods or heat, without chemicals.
- We mainly use electric tools for mowing and pruning, which helps to minimise noise and pollution.
- We shred green waste and use it as mulch, helping to save water and naturally enrich the soil.
Toilets, Showers and Shared Areas
- All products used are Ecocert-certified, helping to reduce any impact on health.
- For example, we use green clay to clean the dishwashing sinks.
Managing Water and Energy Efficiently
- Water: we encourage responsible use on your pitch. Plant watering is restricted, and mulching helps save water.
- Swimming pool: our pool is heated using a heat pump, which helps lower energy use.
- Electricity: we use LED lighting and motion sensors to reduce energy wastage.
- Hot water system: insulated to minimise energy waste.
Eco-Friendly Transport
Within the campsite, all travel is on foot, bike, or electric cart. Guests are also encouraged to take bicycles for trips to the beach or the lake.
For tomorrow
We are always looking for new initiatives to further reduce our environmental impact:
- Improving Efficiency in Hot Water and Electricity Production
- Minimising Compostable Waste
- Minimising Vehicle Impact on the Campsite
Every small action helps preserve our planet and ensure a healthy environment for generations to come.
