Green key certified

Since 2020, our campsite has been certified with the Green Key eco-label, an official recognition of our sustainable approach. This internationally recognised label highlights our commitment to protecting nature and encourages us to continually go further in developing and improving our environmental initiatives.

Measuring and Reducing Our Environmental Impact

The Green Key eco-label enables us to carefully assess our environmental footprint and identify practical solutions to reduce it. Every action matters, and we do everything we can to minimise our impact on local biodiversity.

Local, Sustainable and Responsible Products

Our bistro prioritises local and organic products sourced from committed producers: Fred & Seb veg’s farm, Éric from the Saint Gilles Croix de Vie fish market, Cœur de Grange in Coex, Le Moulin des Gourmands in Saint Révérend, and the famous Noirmoutier potatoes. This approach supports the local economy while reducing the carbon footprint of our meals.

Sustainable Waste Management

We minimise single-use packaging wherever possible: our cardboard pizza and burger boxes have been replaced with washable boxes that can be returned to the bar. Measures are also in place to reduce the use of disposable water bottles and cleaning products. Food waste is composted to recover what can be reused. As we often say: the best waste is the waste you don’t produce.

Water and Natural Resources

Water is precious: in our accommodations, we encourage guests to drink high-quality tap water and provide reusable glass bottles at the bar for filtered still or sparkling water. Irrigation is limited to what is strictly necessary, such as the educational vegetable garden, window boxes, or delicate plants. In winter, mulching and shredding at the base of plants helps conserve water during the dry season.

Protecting Local Biodiversity

No pesticides are used on the campsite, ensuring the safety of people, plants, and animals. Biodiversity workshops are organised to help guests better understand and appreciate nature. Le Parc promotes slow tourism: taking the time to watch birds, admire the grey heron by the pond, or listen to the wind in the trees becomes a daily pleasure.

Sustainable Mobility

Electric cars are welcome: a charging station is available in the car park. Cycling is also encouraged to reach the beach, the lake, or to explore the many marked trails from the campsite, helping to reduce carbon emissions.

At Le Parc de la Grève campsite, we are proud to offer a space where nature and relaxation coexist in harmony. Here, slowing down, observing, and appreciating the environment comes naturally: welcome to our biodiversity oasis.
